Manufacturing Process of Alu Foil Tape

Alu foil tape is a kind of metal tape, mainly used for electromagnetic shielding, which is divided into electrical signal shielding and magnetic signal shielding. Electrical signal shielding mainly depends on the excellent electrical conductivity of aluminum itself, while magnetic shielding needs the nickle on the adhesive surface.

What’s the manufacturing process of aluminum tape roll? There are four steps:

1. Add the raw material of plastic particles to the film blowing machine to blow it into a plastic film. The width is generally about 1.3 meter. According to the purpose of the foil tape, we can choose different plastic particles and add some special additives.

2. After blowing the film, put the film on the coating machine and apply the glue. In fact, this process mainly selects the glue according to the viscosity and use of the aluminum foil tape.

After the coating is completed, it is the aluminum foil tape. But the current is still 1.3 meter wide and a few hundred meter in length.

3. Then we can use a rewinding machine to get small aluminum tape roll which can be rewinded according to the length of the aluminum foil tape we usually use such as 3m aluminium foil tape.

4. The rewinded aluminum tape roll can be cut into the required width with a slitter, such as 50 mm and 100 mm. The two processes of film blowing and coating has the most impact on the quality. Because after these two processes, we have got a semi-finished product, and the subsequent rewinding and slitting have less effect on the3m aluminium foil tape.
