7075 Aluminum Sheet VS 5083 Aluminum Plate
The 7075 aluminum sheet and 5083 aluminum plate are two kinds of aluminum alloy plates with completely different properties. The former is a heat-treatable and strengthened aluminum alloy while the later is a non-heat-treatable anti-rust aluminum alloy.
The 7075 aluminum plate is a typical aircraft aluminum plate while 5083 aluminum plate belongs to marine grade aluminum sheets. Both of them have a high-end derivative product, that is, a super flat aluminum sheet.
7075 super flat aluminum plate is currently divided into 7075-T651 and 7075-O super lat aluminum sheet. 7075-T651 super flat aluminum sheet has higher hardness and strength. At present, the thickness of our conventional 7075 super flat aluminum plate is 3-12 mm, the flatness is 0.5 mm/m.
7075-O super flat aluminum sheet has lower hardness and strength than 7075-T651 aluminum sheet, but it has higher flatness and smaller processing deformation. It is an ideal material for various precision molds and precision accessories.
5083 ultra-flat aluminum plate is with O temper. It hardness and strength is higher than 5052 aluminum plate. Its thickness can be up to 600 mm. 5083 aluminum plate has high flatness, high thickness tolerance precision, no deformation, good cutting performance, good polishing performance, and excellent corrosion resistance. It also has good anodizing and welding performance.
