The Chemical and Mechanical Requirements for Air Conditioner Foil
Air conditioner foil is often used as a heat-conducting fin material for air-conditioning heat exchangers. It has the advantages of low density, good thermal conductivity, easy processing, odorlessness, environmental protection and low price.
Chemical Element
The alloys of aluminum foil for air conditioner are mainly 1100, 1200,3102, 8011,etc. Generally, the air conditioner does not have strict requirements on the chemical composition of aluminum heat exchange fins. Without surface treatment, the corrosion resistance of 3A21 aluminum alloy is relatively good.
Its mechanical functions such as strength and elongation are high, and the hardness is also large. The choice of alloy depends on the ultimate mechanical function of the raw material and the processing difficulty. For example, 1100 aluminum alloy with higher purity is easier to roll, while 8011 alloy is more difficult.
Mechanical Properties
It mainly refers to the tensile strength, elongation and Erichsen value of aluminum foil. The ideal situation is that these three indices are all high. But for the aluminum foil, these three indices are opposed to each other.
When the tensile strength of the aluminum foil is relatively high, the elongation will decrease; and increasing the elongation of aluminum foil will cause a decrease in tensile strength.Therefore, in practice, the intermediate value of the mechanical function is generally taken.
According to the different requirements of the heat exchange fins on the mechanical function, there are currently three tempers of the air conditioner aluminum foil: H22, H24 and H26. Each temper corresponds to a certain strength and plasticity scale.
