The hot rolled thick aluminium sheet refers to the aluminum plates with a thickness of 4.5mm or more, covering different applications such as tank truck, ships, molds, containers, pressure vessel, automobile and construction machinery.
The hot rolled sheets have one more uniform annealing process than the cast-rolled sheets, so the defects such as component segregation and impurities are relatively easy to solve. The quality of the products is higher than that of cast-rolled aluminum plates.
The deep-drawing and bending properties of the hot-rolled aluminum plates are much higher than those of cast-rolled aluminum plates, and the price is also higher than that of the cast-rolled aluminum plates.
The common alloys of hot rolled aluminum sheets are 1100, 1060, 1070, 1050,3003, 3004, 3005, 3104, 3105, 5082, 5182, 5083, 5754, 5454, 6061, 6082 and 6083. Of them, 3003 aluminum sheet is more widely known.
3003 aluminum sheet is the most widely used anti-rust aluminum material. The strength of this alloy plate is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
3003 thick aluminum plate is mainly used for low-load parts that require high plasticity and good weldability, working in liquid or gaseous media, such as fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricating oil pipes.
