Corrugated Aluminum Sheet Metal VS Aluminum Honeycomb Sheet
In building decoration engineering, two kinds of decorative materials often used are aluminium honeycomb roof panel and corrugated aluminum sheet metal. Both of them are composite materials with sandwich structure.
What are their other similarities and differences? In the aspect of structure, aluminium honeycomb sheet is a new type of decorative material composed of aluminum panel, aluminum honeycomb core and aluminum back plate.
Aluminium corrugated sheet is composed of aluminum panel, aluminum corrugated core and aluminum back plate. The difference is that roofing aluminum sheet can be directly composed of an aluminum panel and an aluminum corrugated core without using an aluminum back plate. This structure is a better fit for ceiling decoration.
As for their properties, both of them has the characteristics of light weight, high strength, good flatness, non-deformation, fire resistance, moisture resistance, material saving, and convenient installation.
In terms of price, if both of them are of three-layer structure, the price of aluminium honeycomb panel and corrugated aluminum sheet of the same thickness are is almost same.
But the advantage of aluminium honeycomb composite panel is that its thickness can reach 150 mm, which has higher strength and wider application. The thickness of the corrugated aluminum sheet is usually within 15 mm, but it also has excellent decoration effect in many occasions.
In practical decoration applications, corrugated aluminum sheet metal can be made into a two-layer composite structure, which not only reduces the engineering cost, but also ensures the flatness of the sheet. The honeycomb aluminum plate must be composed of a three-layer structure to ensure the integrity and physical properties of the material.
