Alloy system

1 Series pure aluminum (such as 1050, 1100)

Characteristics: aluminum content ≥ 99%, excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance, and good processing performance.

Application:

Electronic industry: used to manufacture capacitor foil and radiator substrate. Due to its high conductivity and low thermal resistance, it can effectively improve the heat dissipation efficiency of electronic equipment.

Food packaging: After anodizing, a dense oxide film is formed on the surface of 1050 aluminum discs, which can directly contact food and meet hygiene standards.

3 series aluminum-manganese alloy (such as 3003)

Characteristics: manganese content is about 1.2%, cannot be strengthened by heat treatment, moderate strength, excellent corrosion resistance and welding performance.

Application:

Kitchenware manufacturing: 3003 aluminum discs can be made into non-stick pans and pressure cookers through deep drawing process, with high surface finish and suitable for anodizing treatment.

Building curtain wall: As the surface material of aluminum-plastic panel, 3003 alloy is compounded with PE core layer, which has both lightweight and wind pressure resistance.

5 series aluminum-magnesium alloys (such as 5052, 5083)

Features: 3-5% magnesium content, low density (about 2.68g/cm³), high tensile strength, and seawater corrosion resistance.

Applications

Automotive industry: 5052 aluminum discs are used to manufacture wheels and fuel tanks. Their lightweight characteristics can reduce vehicle energy consumption and increase driving range.

Shipbuilding: 5083 alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in marine environments and is often used in hull structures and decks.

6 series aluminum magnesium silicon alloy (such as 6061, 6082)

Characteristics: Contains magnesium silicon strengthening phase (Mg₂Si), can be heat treated and strengthened, and has balanced comprehensive performance.

Application:

Machining: After T6 heat treatment, the hardness of 6061 aluminum disc can reach HB95, and it is widely used in the manufacture of industrial fixtures and molds.

Rail transportation: 6082 alloy extruded profiles are used for high-speed rail carriage frames, and its high toughness and fatigue resistance meet the requirements of high-speed operation.

7 series super-hard aluminum alloy (such as 7075, 7050)

Characteristics: Zinc content 5-7%, strength close to steel (tensile strength ≥500MPa), but density is only 1/3 of steel.

Application:

Aerospace: 7075 aluminum discs are used to manufacture aircraft landing gear and wing beams, and their high strength-to-weight ratio can reduce the weight of aircraft.

Military field: 7050 alloy can be made into missile cabin through superplastic forming process to meet the requirements of lightweight and high load-bearing capacity.
