Flat aluminum strip is pure aluminium/aluminum alloy cast and hot rolled aluminum coil. At the first, the aluminum coil is processed into thin aluminum coil with different thickness and width by the cold rolling mill and then cut into the aluminum strips with different thickness by the slitting machine.
The popular types of flat aluminum strips are aluminum strip 1100, aluminum strip3004 and 5052 aluminum strip.
Aluminum Strip 1100
As we all know, aluminum 1100 is a pure aluminum series. Aluminum strip 1100 is mainly used for electrical cable,optical cable, transformer,etc. It is also used for those components that require good formability and high corrosion resistance but do not require high strength such as chemical products, food industry equipment,nameplates,etc.
Aluminum Strip 3004
3004 is a non- heat treatable aluminum alloy with manganese as its primary alloying element. It is similar to 3003 except for the addition of approximately 1% magnesium. It can be used to produce tempers with a higher strength but a lower ductility.
Aluminum strip 3004 is often used as lamp cap, lamp base and beverage cans. It is also used for making building baffles, cable ducts, sewers.etc.
Aluminium Strip 5052
Aluminum strip 5052 has excellent seawater corrosion resistance, good formability and weldability, moderate tensile strength and high fatigue strength. Its typical uses include aircraft fuel tanks, electronic mounting plates and panels, fan blades, refrigeration liners, storm shutters, and utensils.
