An Exploration of Aluminum Circles’ Uses

Aluminum circles, due to their unique physical and chemical properties, play an indispensable role in numerous fields. From everyday household items to high-end industrial manufacturing, aluminum discs are ubiquitous, thanks to their diverse alloy options and extensive surface treatment processes.

Cookware

In our kitchens, aluminum discs are widely used in the manufacture of various cooking utensils. Common non-stick pans, pressure cookers, and frying pans are mostly made from 1-series aluminum alloys such as 1050, 1060, and 1100, as well as 3-series aluminum alloys such as 3003.

1000 aluminum alloys have an aluminum content of over 99%, offering excellent formability and high reflectivity. They are stable and can be anodized, making them suitable for general cookware. 3003 aluminum alloy, on the other hand, offers excellent formability, high elongation, and a high grain size, resulting in a smooth surface and high reflectivity, making it commonly used in high-end cookware.

To enhance the durability and aesthetics of aluminum cookware, surface treatments are often applied. Anodizing is a common method. Some high-end non-stick pans are also treated with a non-stick coating in addition to anodizing to further enhance the cooking experience.

Lighting Fixtures

Aluminum disc circles also play an important role in lighting fixtures, often used in components such as lampshades and lamp holders. In this field, 1xx aluminum alloys such as 1050 and 1060, as well as 3xxx aluminum alloys such as 3003, are also widely used.

The high reflectivity of 1000 aluminum alloys allows for better light reflection, enhancing the lighting effect of lamps; while the excellent formability and surface finish of 3000 aluminum alloys facilitate the creation of aesthetically pleasing and diverse lamp designs.

The surface treatment of aluminum discs for lamps focuses on enhancing their reflective properties and decorative qualities. Anodizing creates a uniform oxide film on the surface of the disc, enhancing its reflectivity. A variety of colors are also available to meet diverse design needs. Furthermore, some high-end lamps employ surface treatments such as polishing and brushing to enhance their quality.

Architectural Decoration

In the architectural field, aluminum discs can be used in building curtain walls and interior decoration. Architectural aluminum discs are primarily made from 3-series aluminum alloys such as 3003 and 3004, and 5-series aluminum alloys such as 5052.

The excellent formability and high surface finish of 3-series aluminum alloys make them suitable for complex architectural designs. 5-series aluminum alloys, with their low density, high tensile strength, and high elongation, excel in structural applications.

Architectural aluminum round sheets can be treated in a variety of ways. Anodizing improves their weather resistance and decorative properties. Spray coating allows for the selection of different coatings, such as polyurethane and acrylic, based on design requirements, adding rich colors and textures to the building.

Transportation Industry

The round aluminum plate plays a vital role in the manufacturing of components for vehicles such as automobiles, trains, and ships. Due to their lightweight, high-strength, and corrosion-resistant properties, they can effectively reduce vehicle weight, improving safety, speed, and durability. In shipbuilding, aluminum round plates can be used to make oil tight hatch cover.

Commonly used aluminum alloys in the transportation industry include 5-series aluminum alloys such as 5052 and 5754. These alloys offer low density and high strength, reducing vehicle weight while maintaining structural strength.
